Carolyn has many outside interests beyond law and mediation. She is artistic and creative and is a keen gardener. She loves dance and still enjoys taking to the floor but she is more often to be found in her favourite seat at Sadlers Wells. She is a good walker and has covered many miles for charity. She is a friendly guide and mentor not only to the young people in her own family but across the globe through a wide network of long-standing friends and former colleagues.
Carolyn brings all her wider life experience to bear in helping clients de-escalate issues and find better ways of moving forward than continued conflict. She passionately believes that there is no problem so complex that people cannot find a way to resolve it. She featured as a Leader in Field for many years, both in Chambers and Legal 500, being noted as “one of the most client-centred lawyers I have ever come across” and for being “tenacious and extremely able”. Carolyn has built a wide network and a strong profile in her industry and is widely regarded as being both well liked and well respected in equal measure. As a mediator, she is an exceptional listener and clients have appreciated her commitment and her depth of preparation in what they have praised as “well run” and “well managed” mediations.
